About Us!
Sav-a-Life LLC brings 25 Years of teaching experience to Colorado Springs with an extensive history working with the American Heart Association, the American Safety and Health Institute and the National Safety Council.
As the founder of Sav-a-Life, Cindy Slater initially worked in health education at the Henry Mayo Hospital in California for 10 Years. Since moving to Colorado, she established Sav-a-Life where she has continuously served as the Primary BLS Instructor and as a member of the AHA-BLS Training Center faculty. Sav-a-Life also serves as a Training Center for the American Safety and Health Institute. As a result, all Sav-a-Life courses are taught to the strict standards set by the American Heart Association and the American Safety and Health Institute and all certifications issued are accepted at all hospitals and medical facilities. In addition, Sav-a-Life is an approved vendor for the State of Colorado Child Care Licensing and foster care.
Our Method
Sav-a-Life strongly believes that while our instructors need to stress the seriousness of potentially life threatening emergencies, they can do so in a way that does not make students feel intimidated. We therefore strive to make each learning experience an enjoyable but very informative event. With a minimum number of people, we will even teach in the convience of your home or business using the most current teaching techniques and modern equipment.
